Angiogenesis - The process of growing blood vessels.  In cancer, this refers to the ability of cancer to attract its own blood supply to support the cancer's growth.
Chemotherapy - Broad term that describes a range of anti cancer drugs that typically target fast growing cells in the human body.
Immunotherapy - A cancer treatment that seeks to activate or stimulate the immune system to fight the cancer.
Phase III Trials - Large clinical trials that generally compare a new treatment that has shown promise to the current standard treatment.  Almost always these trials a randomized, meaning that the "flip of a coin" decides if the participants gets the experimental treatment or the standard treatment.

Placebo - An inactive substance or treatment that looks the same as, and is given the same way as, an active drug or treatment being tested. The effects of the active drug or treatment are compared to the effects of the placebo.
